Dial — Terms of Service
Version 2026-11 · Effective: [date of public beta] · Applies to dial.behaf.co, the Dial MCP server and every app or plugin that uses it.
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name], [registered address], India ("Dial", "we", "us"). By creating an account, or by placing a call through Dial, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use Dial. We ask you to accept each new version (see §15) before your next call.
1. What Dial does
1.1 Dial places phone calls on your behalf to numbers you give it. An AI voice agent speaks for you, handles phone menus and hold, talks to the person who answers, and returns a summary, an outcome and a transcript.
1.2 You give Dial a brief, usually through an AI assistant you use (for example Claude or ChatGPT) or our web app: the number, what the call is for, the details the agent may share, and the limits of what it may agree to (the "brief"). The agent works only from the brief and from answers you give during the call.
1.3 Dial is for person-to-business errands: booking or changing appointments, enquiries, customer-care follow-ups, cancellations, and similar calls you would otherwise make yourself. Calls are placed to Indian (+91) numbers only at launch.
1.4 Dial does not record call audio. It keeps a written transcript of both sides of the call (see the Privacy Policy).
1.5 Dial is in public beta. Features, languages, limits and prices may change.
2. Eligibility and your account
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law.
2.2 You sign in through our sign-in provider. Keep your account, your connected AI assistants and your API keys secure; you are responsible for calls placed with them. Tell us at [support email] if you think someone else has used your account, and revoke the key or connection in the web app.
2.3 One person per account. Accounts for a business must be opened by someone authorised to bind it.
3. Your authority and responsibilities
3.1 You authorise the agent to speak for you within the brief. It may share the details in the brief and agree to things inside the limits you set (for example a time window or a maximum fee). It will not agree to anything outside those limits without asking you; if you can't be reached it ends the call politely without committing and tells you what was offered.
3.2 You confirm that:
- you are entitled to make the call and to share every detail in the brief, including any personal data of other people (for example a family member whose appointment you are booking), and you have their permission where the law requires it;
- the brief is accurate and is not designed to mislead the person called;
- you would be allowed to make the same call yourself.
3.3 Never put in a brief: one-time passwords (OTPs), card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, net-banking passwords, Aadhaar or PAN numbers. The agent is built not to speak them, but you must not supply them.
3.4 What the agent says and agrees within your brief is said on your behalf. You are responsible for it as if you had made the call, subject to §8.
4. AI disclosure
Every call begins with the agent saying that it is an AI assistant calling on your behalf (for example, "Namaste, I'm an AI assistant calling on behalf of Riya"). You may not ask the agent to deny being an AI, to claim to be you, or to claim to be any other real person.
5. Prohibited uses
You must not use Dial, or try to use it, for any of the following. The full list is in the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Telemarketing or any promotional or commercial communication within the meaning of the TRAI Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (as amended), including selling, lead generation, surveys and polls;
- bulk, automated or "robo" calling, or calling many numbers with the same message;
- harassment: calls that threaten, abuse, stalk, intimidate or annoy, prank calls, or calling someone who has asked not to be called (including through us);
- impersonation: pretending to be you, another real person, a government official, the police, a bank or any organisation, or hiding that the caller is an AI;
- emergency numbers (100, 101, 102, 108, 112 and similar) — call them yourself; Dial blocks them;
- premium-rate, short-code and international numbers;
- debt collection, fraud, phishing, social engineering, obtaining OTPs or credentials, or anything unlawful under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Telecommunications Act, 2023.
We may refuse any call that our automated checks or operators consider to fall in these categories.
6. Prepaid wallet, pricing and payments
6.1 Dial is prepaid only. You add money to your Dial balance through our payment partner PayU (UPI, cards, net-banking). Calls are charged from that balance. There is no credit or postpaid billing; a call does not start, or ends, when your balance is too low.
6.2 Prices are shown in the web app before you pay, in Indian rupees per minute, and may differ for talking time and time on hold. [GST treatment: prices are inclusive / exclusive of GST at the applicable rate.] We may change prices for future calls by updating the price page; a call is charged at the price in force when it started.
6.3 Calls that are not answered, are busy, fail to connect, or reach voicemail are free. Starter credit, if offered, has no cash value and may expire as stated when it is given.
6.4 Your balance can be used only for Dial calls. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, cannot be transferred to another user, and cannot be withdrawn as cash except as set out in §6.6.
6.5 Refunds for calls. If a call was charged because of a fault on our side (for example the agent failed to follow your brief, or a technical error), tell us within [30] days from the call's page or at [support email] and we will credit the charge back to your balance. Refunds are not given because the business could not help, said no, or the outcome was not what you hoped for.
6.6 Unused balance. [On request when you close your account, we refund the unused paid balance (not starter or promotional credit) to the original payment method within [30] days, less any payment-gateway fees.] Payment disputes with your bank or card issuer should first be raised with us.
6.7 Card and UPI details are entered on PayU's pages and are handled by PayU, not by Dial.
7. No guarantee of outcomes; check before you rely on a result
7.1 Calls depend on other people, phone networks and AI systems. We do not guarantee that a call connects, that the business helps, or that the summary, outcome or transcript is complete or correct. Speech recognition and summaries can be wrong, especially with poor lines, noise or mixed languages.
7.2 Before you rely on a result — a booking, a price, a date, a reference number — check the transcript and, where it matters, confirm with the business directly. Dial is not responsible for a booking the business does not honour.
7.3 Dial is not for urgent, medical, legal or financial decisions, and is not an emergency service.
8. Liability
8.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for fraud.
8.2 Subject to §8.1, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or opportunities, missed appointments, or the acts or omissions of the people and businesses called, telecom operators or payment providers.
8.3 Subject to §8.1, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for calls in the 3 months before the claim arose and (b) ₹[1,000].
8.4 You will compensate us for losses, claims and penalties (including from regulators or the people called) caused by your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or by a brief that was unlawful or misleading.
9. Suspension and termination
9.1 We may refuse a call, pause or suspend your account, or end it, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you breached these terms, a call would be unlawful or harmful, we receive a complaint about your calls, or a regulator, operator or court requires it. Where safe and lawful we will tell you why.
9.2 You may close your account at any time in the web app or by writing to [support email]. Closing it deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9.3 On suspension for a breach, paid balance may be withheld to the extent needed to cover charges, refunds or penalties caused by the breach; the rest is handled under §6.6.
10. Numbers that ask not to be called
If a person or business asks not to be called again, the agent ends the call and that number is added to our "never call" list for all users. Don't try to get around it.
11. Your content
You keep your rights in your briefs and answers. You give us permission to use them, and the resulting transcripts and summaries, to place your calls, show you results, keep the service safe (including human review of flagged calls by our operators), handle complaints, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your call content to train third-party AI models. [Using de-identified transcripts to improve Dial's own prompts and checks: decide and state.]
12. Third-party services
Dial relies on telephony, speech, AI, sign-in, payment and hosting providers (listed in the Privacy Policy). Your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) is a separate service under its own terms; what you share with it is governed by those terms.
13. Intellectual property
The Dial service, software, voices, brand and content are ours or our licensors'. You may use them only to use Dial as intended. Don't copy, reverse-engineer, resell or overload the service, or access it other than through our published interfaces (web app, MCP server, API keys).
14. Complaints and grievance officer
Contact [support email] first. Our Grievance Officer under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, is: [Name], [designation], [email], [address]. We acknowledge complaints within [48 hours] and aim to resolve them within [one month].
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a date-based number (this one is 2026-11). When we publish a new version we will tell you in the web app or by email, and you will need to accept it before placing your next call. Calls already placed stay governed by the version in force when they were placed.
16. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under consumer law to approach a consumer commission where you live, the courts at [Bengaluru, Karnataka] have exclusive jurisdiction.
17. General
If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these terms; we may transfer them to a successor of the Dial business with notice. These terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about Dial.
